Epuni School uses an Inquiry model to direct its learning in the core learning areas of our curriculum. This model guides students and teachers through to deeper levels of learning about any subject area.
Our Inquiry model forms a full cycle and is divided into four main steps.
Wonder
Find out times of the day, as well as absence and lateness information.
Find Out
Find out times of the day, as well as absence and lateness information.
Make Conclusions
Find out times of the day, as well as absence and lateness information.
Reflect
Find out times of the day, as well as absence and lateness information.
You can see that our Inquiry model is a cycle that weaves together. The four steps of Inquiry are represented by the dark exterior strips. Generally an inquiry will start at the top with Wondering and work clockwise; but realistically can begin anywhere.
In the middle of the Inquiry cycle, woven throughout all of the learning, are the School Values. These underpin everything we do at Epuni School, especially within our learning.
With the four steps to our cycle, and the School Values woven throughout, we have our Inquiry model that students and teachers use to direct the learning in our classrooms.
